What did you not like? o What do you think the author is trying to teach to the reader? o How can you apply what you learned in this book to your own life? ▪ Consider experiences you have had (or will have) in your life—how do some of the topics covered in this book tie into those experiences? o What are your major takeaways from this book? • Your review should also include: o Relevant quotes from the book (make sure to cite these by using page numbers) to support your discussion o Examples from the text, the real world, and your own life to support your discussion • Review paper guidelines o 12 point font (Times New Roman or Calibri); 4 pages minimum (3.75 pages is not 4 pages just FYI), 5 pages maximum; 1 inch margins; double-spaced; make sure to include in-text citations (and “quotations”) whenever taking quotes directly from the text; APA citations guidelines are available to you on USA Online o Place only your name (first and last) at the top of the paper (I do not need to know what class this is, who I am, or the date) o Feel free to use headings throughout your papers to address all the critical points of the review o DO NOT COPY WORD FOR WORD FROM THE BOOK. You may (and should) use quotes from the book to support your main points, but when detailing the purpose of the book and the key points the author is making, you should not copy directly from the text. Individuals who copy from the text (without citing appropriately) will receive an automatic score of 0—no exceptions.
