The book, The Great Gatsby

In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, The Great Gatsby wealth is thought to give Gatsby, Daisy, and Tom a fulfilled life, but instead leads to unhappiness, betrayal, and death. Explanation: In this term paper I need to provide that wealth can lead to an unexpected downfall. The characters in the Great Gatsby believed that to have a good life they needed to be wealthy, but that is not the case. Wealth makes the characters unhappy and they betray each other, leading to Gatsby’s death.

I need to research wealth in the novel and how it affects the characters. I must use the following four sources: Donaldson, Scott. “Possessions in The Great Gatsby.” The Great Gatsby – F.
