**Calculate the mean, median, mode, max, min, and range for each of the following**

Median, mode, mean, max, range, and min are different ways to calculate the average value of numbers. The range is defined as the difference between the lowest and highest values. The mean brings value by the sum of all numbers and then dividing it with the total numbers. Median is the central value from the set of numbers arranged numerically. The mode is the value that comes most often or repeatedly in numerically arranged numbers. Max is the largest numerical value from a set of numbers, while min is the smallest value from the set of numbers arranged (U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics, 2017).

i. **Violent Crime Total**

Violent crimes include assault, murder, rape, and robbery. The mean of mean could be extracted by summing up all values and divide them with a total number of values. The mean would be 2224.228. Median is the central value from the set of numbers arranged numerically. The median for violent crime is 2453. The most often violent crime reported in the set of values is mostly not applicable. The range would be calculated by subtracting the smallest value from the largest value. Thus, the range for violent crime total would be 2316. The max is the largest number value from the list; thus, the max would be 2882. At the same time, the min is the smallest value from the list that, in this case, is 566.

ii. **Murder and Non-negligent Manslaughter**

Murder and non-negligent manslaughter are defined as the intentional killing of one human by the other. Thus the mean for murder and non-negligent manslaughter is when the sum of all values would be divided with the total number of values. Thus, the total number of murders and non-negligent manslaughter is 23.7862. The median for the murder and non-negligent manslaughter is 20. The mode for murder and non-negligent manslaughter is 36, and the calculated range is 41. The max of the murder and non-negligent manslaughter is 46, while min for this case is 5.

iii. **Legacy Rape**

Legacy rape is also known as the forcible rape, and in this case, the mean is 231.4483. The median for the legacy rape would be the central value of the set of numbers arranged in the numerical order. The median for the legacy rape is 241. The mode for the legacy rape is 266. The range of values calculated by subtraction maximum value from the minimum value is 286 for the case. The max number for the legacy rape is 266, while the minimum calculated number is 40.

iv. **Revised Rape**

It is defined as a rape conducted many times without the permission of the victim. The mean, in this case, would be 1066.987 that is extracted through the sum of all values and divided by the total number. The median of the paper is 805. The mode does not apply to this case because of the lack of the number of set values. The range value for this case is 743. The largest value is 512, while the smallest value for the case is 201.

v. **Robbery**

Robbery is defined as a crime that is taking or attempting to take things from anyone. The mean for the case of robbery is 903.0345. The median for robbery is 956 that is obtained by keeping the central number of provided numbers list. The mode for the robbery case is 1052. The range for the robbery is obtained by subtracting the maximum number from the lowest number. The range for the robbery case is 1215. The max for the robbery case is 1421, while the min is 206.

vi. **Aggravated assault**

Aggravated assault is known as intentional physical harm and physical contact that is addressed. The mean for the aggravated assault is 1066.207. The median for the aggravated assault is 1099. The mode for aggravated assault is not applicable because it is extracted from the set of values. The range of a set of values is 57094. The maximum largest number is 64263, and the minimum range is 315.

vii. **Property Crime Total**

The mean of property crime total is obtained by summing all the values, and by dividing it by the total number of values is 41222.93. The median for this case 44379, and the mode for this case is also not applicable because of the lack of a set of values available to choose from. For the property crime total, the range is 57094. The max for the property crime total is 64263, and the smallest number for the case is 7169.

viii. **Burglary**

As defined above, the mean is taken by summing up all values and dividing by the total number of values. The mean for the burglary is 7233.69. the numerical order for the case is median, which is 7692. The mode does not apply to the case because of the inedibility of the set of values. The range of value for burglary is 9432. The largest value for burglary is 10675, while the smallest value for the case is 1243.

ix. **Larceny-Theft**

It is defined as the unlawful taking or breaching the property of a third party. The mean for the larceny-theft is 29516.86. the median for the case of larceny-theft is 32086. The mode does not apply to this case too. The range would be calculated by subtracting the smallest value from the largest value. Thus, the range of values is 41399. The largest value for the case interpretation is 46696, and the smallest value for the larceny-theft is 5297.

x. **Motor Vehicle Theft**

The mean for motor vehicle theft is obtained by summing all values and dividing by the total number of values. Thus, the mean of the case is 4471.379. The median for the case is 3997 that is obtained from the central number of the given values. The range of values for the case is 7859, as the mode is not applicable. The largest value for the case is 7859, while the smallest value for the case is 629 obtained through the comparison.
