Audience Analysis and Research Questions

 Part 1: A dozen college freshmen have recently been hired at your firm as summer interns. Various employees have been assigned the task of instructing the interns in different aspects of the business world. You have been asked to conduct a one-hour mini-workshop on workplace writing. You decide that as part of that workshop you want to give the interns a handout that clarifies the differences between workplace writing and academic writing. Based on this scenario, you are to do the following: design a document entitled “How Writing in the Workplace Is Different from Writing in School.” You have the option of choosing the best format for the document. In short, you may choose to do a handbook, a brief paragraph, an outline, an infographic… the options are endless. Because various possible formats may have different word counts, the length of this document will not be considered for assessment. Part 2: 1) Create at least one, but no more than two, research question that will inform you generally about your chosen career. (Medical Billing and Coding) 2) Create at least one, but no more than two, research questions that will inform you about one of your future career paths (Certified Professional Coder (CPC) ) that will be addressed in your professional plan. 3) Create at least one, but no more than two, research questions that will inform you about a second future career paths (charge entry specialist) that will be addressed in your professional plan.
